Taxi Drivers

Taxi drivers must complete a minimum of 35 hours periodic training every five years in order to retain their taxi driving licence. This 35-hour periodic training must include at least one disability awareness course of a minimum of 3.5 hours.

Lorry and Bus Drivers

Every professional lorry and bus driver of vehicles exceeding 3.5 tonnes must complete 35 hours periodic training every 5 year cycle.

This will allow drivers to stay up to date with the latest regulations and keep constantly learning throughout their career.

Mini Bus Drivers

All professional bus drivers must complete 35 hours periodic training every 5 years to maintain a Driver CPC card (sometimes called a ‘driver qualification card’ or ‘DQC’).
